the ringmaster's wife

oil painting on birch panel
8 inches square
available through sebastian foster gallery
$600.

went to the ringling museum outside of sarasota, florida (my photos here) last month and renewed my love of the circus so expect more circus pieces to come. my other current love is strange colored skies, i made a flickr set of them here.

if you are still shopping for Christmas any orders from my shop are shipping by priority mail in the u.s., order by Thursday for Christmas delivery, for the true procrastinator it might even arrive if you order by Sunday but I wouldn't push it.

I love your "strange" colored skies. I'm always reminding myself the sky does not need to be blue and the grass does not need to be green, they can be what I need them to be.

haha...that reminds me of the bob dylan line "the sun's not yellow, it's chicken". i'm all for reinventing our perceptions of how things are supposed to be (as you know things are never really what they seem anyways). happy holidays amanda!

I really like your circus paintings. There's just something about them that touches me. :)
