a bit of this and that
these aren't new or for the most part available i just thought it was about time to post something and i couldn't decide on what so a selection seemed a good way to do it. thank you everyone for all the comments on the blog and flickr and emails over the last few days, truly appreciated and as i am ever so slowly working my way through responding to everyone i want to say if you are awaiting a response from me ever please feel free to email again, i have a terrible habit of beginning emails and not finishing and sending them and a little bit of nagging is fine with me.
also i've started finalizing the art festivals i'll be attending this year and there is a link on the right hand side of the blog that i'll keep updated as shows are added to my schedule. i do regret that i won't be attending the austin arts festival this year but hope to be returning the next year, baby sitting has to be the main priority for deciding which shows to attend again this year but hopefully next year travelling will be back to being a bit easier.
and one more thing, over in the galleries of the sister project they are featuring one of my favorite painters camilla engman, definitely worth a visit.

dig it!
they are so great, all together like this. I love looking at your characters and they world they live in.
Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon with you and your beautiful children...I posted some pictures on my blog of them...let me know if you like the pictures, I can take anything off if you want me to...
I really enjoy your mosaic photo!!
they look great together- like a family they all feel related. have you thought about illustrated family trees?
I recently stumbled across your blog, and have fallen in love with your work! This image is so wonderful - I want it to be like an advent calendar where I can click on each person and read a secret story about them :-)
It makes me sad because they are not for sale. They look so good altogether. So many stories all in one area. Just lovely...
Nancy
love these. adore the 1st little lady in teh 3rd row!
I love seeing them all together in that mosaic.
we will miss you in Austin!
love your work so much, and now i am thrilled to see you have a blog.
they look just lovely....oh I miss some of the wonderful shows I did in my pre-kid painting life. Des Moines took such good care of their artists, and I had such a good time (minus the intense humid heat) That show and Cherry Creek Arts Festival were my two favourite ones to do...
thanks everyone.
i love the mosaic, it's kind of funny because it's the way i see them mainly, in my home and at shows they are always in large groups so it's how i think of them so it's kind of funny they all go off alone in the world.
the first lady in the third row is one of my favorites too, her hair style has lived on in many other paintngs.
sad not to be going to austin or cherry creek this year but new shows are always fun to try and never been to iowa or tennessee.
